| The high strength
of Domex® 100 can
reduce product weight by as much as 40% which can reduce total
costs by as much as 10%. Less product weight translates into
increased payloads of structures, vehicles, containers, and
equipment. Domex®
100 is used in anything that moves or lifts including cranes,
agricultural equipment, trucks, dump bodies, recreational
vehicles, buses, and automobiles.
Domex®
100 can be bent down to 1.6 times the thickness in cold
conditions – five times tighter than conventional steel. Metallurgical controls during
the production of Domex®
100 ensure clean material with few inclusions, uniform
mechanical properties, and consistent thickness tolerances for
superior forming and welding characteristics. The material is
not heat treated and has a very thin scale which can reduce
costs to prepare the surface for painting. Domex®
100 is temper passed and will stay flat through production.
